You arrange any required modification inspection under the German StVZO with a testing organisation in advance, on your own responsibility, and have it carried out after installation. With an ABE console, the operating permit comes with the product.
We won't promise you an "ABE out of the box" that doesn't exist for your vehicle. Instead we tell you upfront which route applies to your Sprinter generation.
For the Sprinter VS30 (series 907/910, since 2018) there are vehicle-specific swivel consoles with a general operating permit (ABE). The permit is included — a separate presentation is usually not needed. Note: when registered as a motorhome, some registration offices may still require an entry.
Where no ABE exists for your combination, it runs via an individual approval under §21 StVZO. The console and belt routing are decisive, not the seat itself. You arrange the individual approval with a testing organisation in advance, on your own responsibility.
